We are seeking an experienced Assistant Film Director to support the Director in managing all aspects of film production. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure smooth operations on set.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in creating and adhering to shooting schedules, anticipating potential delays or obstacles
• Coordinate the positioning and movement of cast members for each scene
• Cue crew members (camera, lighting, sound etc.) to begin filming for each take
• Resolve any conflicts or safety concerns that arise on set
• Oversee extras and background actors, providing direction as needed
• Create detailed storyboards to visualize the script
• Communicate schedule changes or deviations to relevant stakeholders
• Promote and enforce all safety protocols during filming

Requirements

• High school diploma; degree in Film Studies or related field preferred
• Proven experience as an Assistant Film Director or similar role
• Proficient with scheduling and project management software
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented under pressure
• Understanding of filmmaking processes and terminology
• Commitment to promoting a safe working environment
