We take play seriously. We’re looking for curious adventurers ready to find their party, fueled by imagination and drive to build what’s never been built before. At Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast, you’ll collaborate with passionate teams to reimagine our iconic brands and create experiences that spark joy, connection, and community through the magic of play. This is your chance to shape legendary play that lasts a lifetime.

The Play Team shapes how players discover, experience, and stay engaged with Magic in real life. We build the systems, partnerships, and programs that power organized play and create meaningful on-ramps for new players everywhere.

We're looking for a Senior Manager, Play Expansion & Acquisition to help bring Magic play to new spaces, new audiences, and new markets around the world.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with the Commercial organization to identify, evaluate, and scale play opportunities in expanded retail and experiential verticals.
  • Develop scalable program frameworks that enable Magic play in new environments while maintaining brand and player experience standards.
  • Own strategy and execution across Magic play for new-to-play acquisition initiatives, in established and new verticals, from concept through launch, measurement, and iteration.
  • Establish clear success metrics for acquisition and expansion programs and use data-driven insights to optimize performance.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the central Play Team and internal international teams on play-related initiatives, ensuring alignment, clarity of ownership, and shared accountability.
  • Build feedback loops with regional teams to surface market insights and inform global play strategy.
  • Ensure all expansion efforts support long-term ecosystem health, balancing growth, retention, and community sustainability.
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders across Commercial, Marketing, Organized Play, and Regional teams to drive coordinated execution.

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum of 5 years experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proven success launching or scaling programs in retail, experiential, or group-focused environments.
  • Experience crafting and executing acquisition strategies with measurable business impact.
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with operational excellence and follow-through.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level storytelling.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with international markets and regional teams.
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities, especially fluency in Japanese.
  • Familiarity with hobby retail, specialty retail, or entertainment verticals.
  • Experience in live events, organized play, or community ecosystem development.
  • Passion for Magic: The Gathering and tabletop gaming.
