Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will perform comprehensive vehicle repairs and maintenance, ensuring optimal performance and safety for our customers. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional automotive service, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills to troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of vehicle issues efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair a variety of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, steering, suspension.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles running smoothly.
  • Utilize schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, and power tools to identify issues accurately and execute repairs effectively.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and recommend necessary repairs or services.
  • Maintain detailed service records and communicate repair findings clearly to customers while providing excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete repairs efficiently and uphold quality standards.
  • Stay updated on the latest automotive technology trends.

Requirements

  • Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
  • Extensive mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and using diagnostic software for automotive diagnostics.
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to Service Advisors.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Valid mechanic certification or relevant ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications are highly desirable/ Maryland State Inspection License.
