POSITION TITLE: Digital Marketing Specialist (entry level)
SALARY: $17.60 / hr + 4% vacation pay
POSITION STATUS: Seasonal- Canada Summer Jobs
TENTATIVE START DATE: July 6, 2026
HOURS OF WORK: 35 hrs. / week (Monday-Friday) for 8 weeks
Role and Purpose
Harmony Place is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental and physical disabilities through inclusive, engaging, and person-centered programs. We are seeking a motivated and creative Digital Marketing Specialist (entry level) to support our communications and outreach efforts as part of the Canada Summer Jobs program.
Responsibilities The Digital Marketing Specialist will support Harmony Place’s online presence and communications by:
- Updating and maintaining the Harmony Place’s website (WordPress or similar platforms)
- Creating and publishing blog posts highlighting programs, events, and client stories
- Managing and scheduling content across social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook)
- Assisting in the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns to promote programs, events, and fundraising initiatives
- Supporting email marketing, including drafting and distributing newsletters
- Assisting with digital advertising efforts, including the Google Ad Grant (e.g., creating ads, monitoring performance, and optimizing campaigns)
- Designing basic graphics and visual content using tools such as Canva or similar
- Monitoring engagement metrics and supporting basic analytics reporting (website, social media, and campaigns)
- Ensuring all content aligns with Harmony Place’s mission, values, and brand voice
- Assisting with other administrative or communications tasks as needed
Qualifications and Key Attributes
- Between 15-30 years of age on the first date of employment
- Be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.
- Previous experience is considered an asset,
- Interest in digital marketing, communications, or social media
- Strong written communication skills with attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms, content creation, and email marketing
- Familiarity with website editing tools (e.g., WordPress) is an asset
- Experience or interest in digital advertising (e.g., Google Ads/Ad Grant) is an asset
- Experience with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe) is an asset
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Interest in the non-profit sector considered an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
