Brand and Content Specialist (Freelance)

Since 2014, over 160 million people have joined happn worldwide. Now, we’re scaling in Canada, across both English and French-speaking audiences, and we’re looking for someone local to help make it happn.

What you’ll do 🚀
Influencer Marketing, Partnerships & Events
- Own influencer campaigns and creator activations end to end
- Source and manage creators across English and French-speaking audiences
- Build and close partnerships with local brands (lifestyle, nightlife, culture, etc.)
- Run co-branded activations and events designed to generate content and visibility
- Track performance and optimise campaigns based on results
Social Media
- Contribute to a shared social ecosystem across US, Canada, and Australia
- Define and execute Canada-specific social strategy (EN + FR) aligned with global direction
- Adapt global assets for local audiences (not just translate)
- Track what performs and double down on what works
Market, Product & Growth Signals
- Keep an eye on competitors, pricing, and what’s working in market
- Bring structured insights on trends and user behaviour
- Support adaptation of messaging, positioning, and product angles for the Canadian market
- Translate signals into tests and growth ideas for Canada
About you 👀
- 2+ years experience in marketing / branding / influencer campaigns / partnerships (B2C or tech is a plus)
- You already know the Canadian creator culture
- Genuinely interested in how people connect, date, and behave socially
- Active on TikTok / Instagram and aware of what performs today
- Highly autonomous and comfortable owning projects end to end
- Fluent in English and French (mandatory)
