Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for diverse learners
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and participation
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning needs
• Incorporate technology and computer skills into daily instruction to enhance learning experiences
• Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive discipline strategies
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student support
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with disabilities or special needs
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student achievements
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities

Qualifications

• Proven experience in teaching or working with children in educational settings
• Strong knowledge of early childhood education, special education, or childcare principles
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs
• Proficiency in computer operation, classroom management software, and educational technology tools
• Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
• Creative writing skills for lesson planning and student assessments
• Commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
