Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for diverse learners
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and participation
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning needs
- Incorporate technology and computer skills into daily instruction to enhance learning experiences
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive discipline strategies
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student support
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with disabilities or special needs
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student achievements
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching or working with children in educational settings
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education, special education, or childcare principles
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Proficiency in computer operation, classroom management software, and educational technology tools
- Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Creative writing skills for lesson planning and student assessments
- Commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
