About the Role
We're excited to invite talented and motivated Android Developers to join Gruve and help expand our mobile experiences for customers and partners.
We're looking for passionate, skilled developers who lead by example-building both product and team through strong technical execution, mentorship, and proven engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with a fast-growing team to build and scale impactful products
- Build smooth, stable, and elegant Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android APIs
- Own features end to end, from inception and design through implementation and launch
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Designers, Product Managers, Backend Engineers, and Data teams
- Work with Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Coroutines & Flow (preferred) or RxJava, and Retrofit & Room
Basic Qualifications
- 1.5+ years of professional Android development experience building consumer-facing Android applications at scale
- Strong experience with Kotlin and modern Android development patterns; Jetpack Compose experience preferred
- Attention to detail and a passion for writing clean, readable, and maintainable code
- A product mindset and the ability to collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers
- Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for solving complex technical challenges
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred; equivalent training or work experience also acceptable
Salary Range & Employment Details
Hourly Rate: $50-67 per hour
This position is being hired for a customer of Gruve.
Candidates may engage in one of the following ways:
- W-2 employee of Gruve, contracted to provide services to one of our clients
- Corp-to-Corp contractor arrangement
This is an initial 6-month contract, with the opportunity for renewal or extension based on performance and client needs.
