Job Summary
The HR team is looking for a Senior Corporate Communications Specialist to be responsible for developing and growing the GDI corporate brand internally, with employees, and externally, with the industry and potential candidates. The right fit is a creative and resourceful thinker who can identify engaging opportunities and form authentic connections with target audiences through copy and visuals. You will be involved in our ongoing transformation from a traditional brick & mortar retailer, to an omni- channel leader and tech-first fashion disruptor.
Main Responsibilities
- Create content that engages employees via our internal channels: e-newsletter, intranet, Slack.
- Create content that showcases the company, brand news and our employees to external audiences via the corporate website, corporate social media, award applications.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the company and identify opportunities to help them broadcast their message to employees and external audiences.
- Help develop a content strategy and calendar for Corporate Communications and Events.
- Analyze metrics and create reports to evaluate and adapt content strategy.
- Play a key role in evolving the company’s tone of voice across internal and external channels.
- Assist in other Corporate Communications team responsibilities, including organizing and executing social and corporate events and company-wide meetings.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of related work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field.
- Demonstrated excellence in writing, proofreading and editing in French or English; or French.
- Demonstrated an eye for and skills in graphic design, page layout and visual content.
- Excellent research, organizational, and time management skills, and the ability to handle a high volume of deliverables simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of digital analytics, an asset.
