Project Engineer Renewable Energy

Job Summary

A Project Engineer is responsible for the installation and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. They ensure that solar panels are properly positioned, connected, and functioning efficiently. The role involves working outdoors, often on rooftops or ground-mounted solar farms, and requires technical knowledge of electrical systems and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing Installation of Solar Panels

• Guiding installation team to assemble, mount, and install solar panels on rooftops or ground structures.
• Secure panels using racking and mounting hardware.
• Inspection of proper wiring and connection to the power grid or battery systems.
• Charge the Power Plant

System Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Conduct routine inspections to ensure optimal system performance.
• Identify and repair faulty panels, wiring issues, or inverter malfunctions.
• Clean solar panels to maintain efficiency.

Electrical & Safety Compliance

• Follow electrical diagrams and blueprints for accurate installations.
• Ensure all work adheres to safety guidelines and local electrical codes.
• Perform voltage and current tests to verify system functionality.

Customer Interaction & Reporting

• Explain system operation and maintenance procedures to clients.
• Document and report installation, maintenance, and repair activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Educational Background:

• B.E/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Renewable Energy (preferred).
• Certification in Solar PV Installation (e.g., from MNRE, Skill India).
• Minimum 2 Years of Working Experience setting of Power Plant on MW Scale(preferred).

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of solar PV components, inverters, batteries, and wiring.
• Familiarity with tools like multimeters, drills, and crimping tools.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.

Soft Skills:

• Problem-solving ability for troubleshooting system issues.
• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights.
• Good communication skills for customer interactions.

Job Type: Full-time
