Pharmacy Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy team in providing exceptional patient care. This role involves assisting with medication dispensing, maintaining pharmacy operations, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and prior experience in hospital or pharmacy settings, with a passion for patient care and medication management.

Duties

• Assist licensed pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution
• Manage inventory, stock supplies, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals
• Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under supervision
• Prepare prescription labels and ensure accuracy of medication information
• Maintain detailed records of medication dispensed and inventory logs
• Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and documentation updates
• Follow all safety protocols and adhere to regulatory standards for medication handling
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth pharmacy operations

Requirements

• Prior experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Compassionate approach to patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Certification or training in pharmacy assistance or related fields is advantageous
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
