Job Title: Project Head –Agriculture

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Team Leader to lead and manage activities under the PKVY project. The candidate will be responsible for implementing organic farming practices, ensuring compliance with PGS and NPOP standards, and coordinating with various departments for smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall implementation of the PKVY project
- Promote and monitor organic farming practices among farmers
- Ensure compliance with PGS (Participatory Guarantee System) and NPOP (National Programme for Organic Production) standards
- Coordinate with government departments, stakeholders, and partner organizations
- Prepare and submit timely reports (monthly, quarterly, and project-based)
- Supervise field teams and ensure proper execution of project activities
- Conduct training and awareness programs for farmers on organic agriculture
- Monitor project progress and ensure achievement of targets
- Maintain proper documentation and records as per project guidelines
- Resolve field-level issues and provide technical guidance
1. Project Leadership & Strategy
Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of agriculture and organic farming projects.
Develop project strategies aligned with organizational and stakeholder goals.
Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and outcomes.
2. Farmer Engagement & Capacity Building
Strengthen farmer networks and promote sustainable agricultural practices.
Design and conduct training programs on organic farming and agronomic practices.
Drive farmer adoption of organic and climate-resilient techniques.
3. FPO Development & Strengthening
Support formation and strengthening of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs).
Facilitate capacity building, governance, and business planning for FPOs.
Ensure market linkage and value chain integration.
4. Organic Certification & Compliance
Oversee certification processes including NPOP, NOP, EU, COR, JAS, Demeter, Bio Suisse, Naturland, and Fair Trade.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and audit requirements.
Manage Internal Control Systems (ICS) and cluster development.
5. Program Implementation & Monitoring
Supervise field teams and ensure effective execution of project activities.
Monitor project progress using MIS tools and prepare periodic reports.
Evaluate impact and suggest improvements.
6. Stakeholder Coordination
Liaise with government departments, NGOs, certification bodies, and research institutions.
Build partnerships for project expansion and sustainability.
7. Supply Chain & Market Linkages
Develop and manage supply chains for organic produce (domestic and export).
Ensure quality standards, traceability, and efficient logistics.
8. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain project documentation, compliance records, and audit reports.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and donor reports.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
