Job description
A growing agribusiness is seeking an experienced Sales Agronomist to support growers with crop input recommendations, seed, fertilizer, crop protection products, and agronomic solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with growers and agricultural customers
- Provide agronomic recommendations for seed, fertilizer, crop protection, and related inputs
- Scout fields and identify crop health, pest, weed, disease, and fertility concerns
- Develop territory sales plans and support customer growth
- Work closely with operations teams to coordinate product delivery and application
- Stay current on crop input products, market trends, and agronomic best practices
- Provide excellent customer service before, during, and after the growing season
Qualifications
- Agronomy, crop consulting, seed, fertilizer, chemical, or ag retail experience preferred
- Strong understanding of row crops, specialty crops, or regional crop production
- CCA certification is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a territory
- Clean driving record preferred
Compensation
Competitive base salary + commission, full benefits, company truck, and long-term growth potential.
