We are recruiting for probation Officer/Community Youth Worker to join our dedicated Community Corrections teams in La Ronge.
This is a fast-paced, meaningful role where no two days are the same. You'll work directly with youth and adults, prepare court reports, complete risk assessment, develop case plans, and collaborate with community partners to provide an integrated approach to offender management and supervision in the community.
You can also look forward to living in our beautiful community, where you can enjoy recreational activities such as hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, canoeing, dog sledding, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and so much more. Whether it is in a plane or operating a vehicle, you can also look forward to exploring visually stunning northern Saskatchewan, as there will be some travel.

The ability to work flexible hours, which may include evenings, and having a valid driver's license are requirements of this rewarding career. If you are relocating for this position, there is the opportunity for relocation reimbursement with a 2-year Promissory Note/Return Service Commitment.
What You Bring
- Working knowledge of addiction, mental health, domestic violence, poverty, disabilities, family dynamics, abuse, and neglect
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to engage resistant clients and develop accurate, client‑centered case plans
Qualifications
- Degree or minimum two‑year diploma in a related field (e.g., Correctional Studies, Justice Studies, Community & Justice Services, Social Work, or Mental Health), or eligibility under Community Corrections grandfathering provisions

- Contributing factors to criminal behaviour
- Evidence‑based intervention strategies, including cognitive‑behavioural approaches
