Position Overview

We are currently hiring for the following role(s):

  • In-Home Tutors: Grade 4 - Math & Reading (Parry Sound, ON)
  • In-Home Tutors: Grade 9 - All subjects (Sudbury, ON)

Compensation: From$30 per hour

This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys individualized instruction, differentiated teaching, and building strong relationships with learners and families.

Key Responsibilities

As a Teacher-Tutor at Goode Learning, you will:

  • Deliver one-on-one instruction in-person tailored to each student’s learning profile
  • Use assessment-informed strategies to plan lessons and monitor progress
  • Adapt teaching to support individual learning needs and strengths
  • Support students in literacy, numeracy, and subject-specific areas
  • Communicate student progress with the internal team
  • Build trusting relationships with families, helping them understand and support their child’s learning journey

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Membership in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)(Certification must be approved with no terms or conditions; applications in progress will not be considered) – Pre-Service teachers in their second year will also be considered.
  • 1–2+ years of classroom teaching experience
  • Strong knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum and current educational pedagogy
  • Experience working with diverse learners and varying learning profiles
  • Proven ability to apply differentiated instruction strategies
  • Comfort using educational technology tools (e.g., Google Classroom, digital learning platforms)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • A growth mindset, flexibility, and enthusiasm for supporting student success
