Hiring: VP, Rates Strategy & Client Solutions

New York

We are partnering on a confidential search with a leading global markets platform seeking to hire a Vice President within its Rates Strategy / Client Solutions team in New York. This role sits at the intersection of trading and sales, focused on delivering differentiated rates strategies and analytics to institutional clients. There is credible potential to take risk / move towards centrebook for the right candidate.

The Role

This is a hybrid front-office position combining strategy, analytics, and client engagement. You will work closely with sales and trading teams to develop and monetize macro and relative value ideas, with a focus on USD rates markets and options. The role involves direct interaction with sophisticated institutional clients, providing actionable trade ideas and bespoke analytics - with the right individuals having the opportunity to take risk in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate trade ideas across USD rates, with a focus on rates options and relative value strategies
  • Partner with sales teams to engage clients through meetings, calls, and roadshows
  • Deliver differentiated market views, strategy content, and actionable recommendations
  • Provide bespoke analytics and tailored solutions to key institutional clients
  • Develop and enhance analytical tools and models to support idea generation
  • Collaborate closely with trading, sales, and research to scale strategy output and client impact

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in rates trading, sales, or derivatives strategy/research
  • Strong background in USD rates derivatives, particularly options
  • Proven ability to generate and communicate actionable trade ideas in fast-moving markets
  • Experience interacting with institutional clients, ideally with established relationships
  • Strong analytical skillset, including experience building or using models
  • Programming experience in Python for analysis or tool development
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex ideas clearly

Preferred

  • Exposure to cross-market or cross-asset strategies
  • Strong technical capabilities, including interest in AI or advanced analytics
  • Track record of contributing to PnL or strategy monetization
