We are a small business seeking a freelance Cloud & Security Engineer to set up a secure, cloud-based remote working environment. The goal is to enable reliable and secure access to files and business applications for our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and configure cloud infrastructure
• Implement secure remote access (VPN or equivalent)
• Create a reliable file-sharing environment
• Manage user access and authentication
• Ensure system performance, security, and uptime
• Test the setup and support initial rollout

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Linux environments
• Hands-on experience with cloud hosting platforms (EU-based preferred)
• Experience with VPNs (e.g., WireGuard) and secure access setup
• Knowledge of access management/authentication systems
• Familiarity with file-sharing or collaboration tools
• Good understanding of security best practices

Nice to Have

• Experience working with small businesses
• Practical, simple implementation approach
• Basic automation / DevOps mindset

Engagement Details
