Agriculture & Food Engineering - Internship

About the internship:

We are looking for an Analyst Intern who understands (or is eager to learn) India's agriculture procurement ecosystem and Public Distribution System (PDS). This role sits at the intersection of policy, supply chain, and AI product development, where you will help us decode real-world systems and translate them into scalable AI-driven solutions.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Conduct in-depth research on government grain procurement systems including MSP, mandis, FCI, and state agencies

2. Analyze Public Distribution System operations and Fair Price Shop workflows

3. Map end-to-end processes covering procurement, storage, transportation, and distribution

4. Identify inefficiencies, leakages, and data gaps within existing systems

5. Engage with stakeholders such as government officials, distributors, and FPS dealers where applicable

6. Support product conceptualization for AI-driven solutions in the agriculture and public systems domain

7. Structure datasets and workflows to assist in AI model training

8. Prepare reports, briefs, and structured insights for internal teams

9. Break down complex systems into clear and structured analytical frameworks

• 2. Knowledge of public policy or rural development systems

• 6. Ability to simplify complex systems into structured processes
• 7. Basic understanding of data or AI tools is preferred
• 8. Educational background in agriculture, economics, public policy, rural management, supply chain, or related fields
• 9. Availability for a duration of 2 to 6 months
• 10. Ability to work independently with strong ownership and curiosity

• Stipend Structure:

Fixed pay: ₹ 5,000 - 12,000 /month
