Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in supporting pharmacy operations and patient care. The successful candidate will assist pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing patient interactions, and ensuring smooth pharmacy workflow. Prior experience as a pharmacy technician is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. Duties

• Assist pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and organising medication supplies
• Support medication administration processes under supervision
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering queries and offering guidance on over-the-counter products
• Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and patient interactions
• Ensure the pharmacy environment complies with health and safety regulations
• Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing prescriptions
• Assist in patient care activities as directed by licensed healthcare professionals

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar healthcare support role is REQUIRED
• Knowledge of medication administration and patient care practices is desirable
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with patients and team members
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Basic IT skills for managing electronic records and prescription systems
• A recognised qualification in pharmacy support or related field is advantageous but not essential
