🔎 About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Supply Chain leader to drive end-to-end planning and procurement. This role is critical in ensuring material availability, inventory optimization, and seamless production & order fulfillment in a high-SKU, demand-variable environment.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
🔹 Supply Chain Planning & Inventory Management
- Own inventory strategy across lens blanks, coatings, consumables, packaging & finished goods
- Manage high SKU complexity and demand variability
- Define inventory norms (safety stock, reorder points, min-max levels)
- Drive reduction in slow-moving, excess & obsolete inventory
- Ensure high inventory accuracy and visibility
🔹 Demand Planning & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations & Production for demand forecasting
- Align supply plans with manufacturing capacities
- Balance service levels with working capital efficiency
- Ensure zero disruption to production & order fulfillment
🔹 Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
- Lead MRP for imported materials, specialty coatings & chemicals
- Manage long lead-time materials and buffer strategies
- Factor yield losses, rejection rates & process variability
- Continuously improve planning accuracy
🔹 Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
- Lead sourcing of critical raw materials and consumables
- Manage suppliers, imports & lead-time variability
- Drive negotiations, cost optimization & contract management
- Develop alternate sourcing strategies to mitigate risks
🔹 Working Capital & Cost Optimization
- Improve inventory turns and working capital efficiency
- Minimize obsolescence and carrying costs
- Lead cost-saving initiatives
🔹 Leadership
- Own Supply Chain Planning & Procurement function end-to-end
- Build and lead a high-performing team
- Drive cross-functional collaboration (Sales, Ops, Finance, Quality)
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate (MBA/PG preferred)
- 14–18 years of experience in Supply Chain / Inventory / Procurement
- Strong exposure to high-SKU, manufacturing environments
- Proven ability to independently lead planning & procurement
