We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel Oncology Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role offers the opportunity to provide specialized oncology nursing care across diverse clinical settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and community health environments. Weekly Gross Pay: $2,244.00
Weekly Taxable Pay: $720.00
Nontaxable Weekly: $1,524.00

Genie Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced RN – ONCOLOGY. to fill an opening in Arlington, VA for $62.33/hr. (Taxed+ nontaxed)
Requirements of the RN ONCOLOGY.:
● Must have a valid state VA License or Compact license.
● Must have AHA BLS
● Must have 2 years of RN ONCOLOGY.

Responsibilities of the RN ONCOLOGY.:
- Shift: 11-hours Days
- Shift Details: 7.00 AM to 6.00 PM
- 36 hours/week. (3*11)
- 13-week assignment
- Deliver comprehensive oncology nursing care, including administering chemotherapy, managing side effects, and monitoring patient responses.
- Conduct detailed patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and symptom evaluation to inform treatment plans.
- Assist with specialized procedures such as IV infusions, catheterizations, and suturing in accordance with aseptic techniques.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols, medication administration, and symptom management to promote understanding and compliance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients undergoing complex treatments like Botulinum toxin therapy or radiation therapy.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support infection control protocols and safety procedures in high-acuity environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or ICU settings.
- Adapt quickly to different clinical environments including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, or long-term care facilities while maintaining exceptional patient care standards.
Requirements
- Valid RN license with current state licensure; compact or multi-state licenses preferred for travel flexibility.
- Proven experience in oncology nursing, including familiarity with chemotherapy administration and cancer patient management.
- Critical care experience in settings such as ICU or emergency medicine is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation and order entry.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation relevant to oncology patients.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or complex chronic conditions is advantageous.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Ability to adapt to diverse clinical environments and demonstrate excellent communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.
