The pay range for the role is $62,600 to $104,300 plus bonus, comprehensive benefits, retirement savings plan, paid vacation, and other perks and opportunities.

Job Scope:

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this position plays a key hands-on role in daily warehouse execution, supporting order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and safe, efficient operations. This position works alongside warehouse staff to ensure cheese is picked, staged, and shipped accurately while identifying and resolving operational issues in real time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick, stage, and allocate cheese accurately to meet daily shipping requirements
• Verify product specifications including type, weight, age, lot, and customer requirements
• Coordinate order priorities to support on-time shipment and minimize re-handling
• Identify and resolve picking errors, shortages, or discrepancies
• Support smooth workflow across shifts through effective communication and planning
• Maintain accurate inventory records for finished cheese and related materials
• Perform cycle counts and inventory verifications to align system records with physical stock
• Investigate inventory variances and identify root causes
• Support proper product rotation, traceability, and storage practices
• Coordinate inventory status changes, holds, or releases in accordance with site procedures
• Identify recurring inventory issues and recommend process improvements
• Follow and promote all site health, safety, and food safety requirements
• Support compliance with internal standards and external audit requirements
• Act as a point of escalation for day-to-day warehouse issues during assigned shifts
• Analyze operational challenges related to flow, accuracy, or efficiency
• Use data, observations, and reporting tools to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Support implementation of process changes to improve safety, accuracy, and productivity
• Provide clear direction on daily priorities and task sequencing
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education
• At least 3 years of experience in warehouse or distribution operations, including the operation of forklifts, preferably in food manufacturing
• Strong understanding of inventory control, order fulfillment, and warehouse workflows
• Comfortable working hands-on in a cold-storage or production environment
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during off-shift hours
• Computer skills and experience using warehouse systems and basic data tools (WMS/ERP/Excel)
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy

Working Environment:

Regular exposure to noise and cold temperatures. Continuous exposure to hazardous machines, moving objects (forklifts) and frequent interruptions. Occasional exposure to dust and chemicals.

Physical Demands:

Standing, walking, and lifting (up to 50 lbs) for a considerable length of time. Crouching and working in awkward positions at moderate lengths of time.
