Senior Accounting Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly competent Senior Accounts Officer to oversee financial operations for our wholesale and retail apparel business. The role requires strong expertise in financial reporting, MIS, cost control, and team management to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting operations including purchases, sales, payments, and receipts
• Prepare and finalize Monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, and financial statements
• Develop and track financial projections, budgets, and forecasts
• Generate detailed MIS reports for management review and business insights
• Monitor and control cost centers across departments (retail, wholesale, operations, admin, etc.)
• Ensure variance analysis between actuals vs budget and suggest corrective actions
• Handle GST, TDS, and statutory compliance filings accurately and on time
• Maintain accurate books of accounts in Tally/ERP systems
• Perform bank reconciliations, vendor/customer reconciliations
• Oversee inventory accounting and stock valuation
• Coordinate with auditors for internal & external audits
• Ensure smooth billing, invoicing, and documentation processes
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund management

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and manage the accounts team effectively
• Allocate tasks, review work, and ensure deadlines are met
• Provide guidance and training to junior team members
• Act as a team leader, ensuring coordination between departments

Key Skills & Requirements

• Strong expertise in financial reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, MIS)
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and projections
• Knowledge of cost center accounting and cost control
• Proficiency in Tally / ERP systems
• Advanced skills in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, reporting)
• Sound knowledge of GST, TDS, and taxation
• Strong leadership and team handling capabilities
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills

Educational Qualification

• B.Com (mandatory)
• CA Inter / M.Com (preferred)

Preferred Industry Experience

• Experience in apparel, textile, wholesale, or retail industry is highly preferred
