Senior CA – Steel Integrated Plant is responsible for overall statutory and management accounting, cost control, financial reporting, and compliance for the plant. The role supports the Plant Head and CFO in budgeting, profitability analysis, and financial governance.

Key job responsibilities1. Financial accounting & reporting

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting: general ledger, accruals, inter‑company reconciliations, and plant‑level books.
• Ensure timely preparation and review of monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and management accounts for the plant.

2. Cost accounting & plant profitability

• Lead cost accounting for billet, TMT, and other products, including raw‑material, power, fuel, and overhead allocation.
• Prepare product‑wise and process‑wise cost sheets, variance analysis, and profitability reports for management decision‑making.

3. Budgeting, forecasting & variance control

• Lead the plant’s annual budget and periodic forecasting exercises in coordination with Finance, Production, and Commercial.
• Analyse actual vs budget/forecast variances and recommend corrective actions (cost control, mix change, efficiency improvement).

4. Statutory compliance & audit

• Ensure compliance with Companies Act, Income‑Tax Act, GST, customs, and other statutory requirements at plant level.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensure timely closure of observations, and maintain error‑free documentation.

5. Credit control & working capital management

• Monitor and control receivables, payables, and working capital, coordinating with Commercial and Accounts teams.
• Design and enforce credit‑policy‑linked controls to minimise overdue receivables and bad‑debt risk.

6. Systems, processes & controls

• Ensure robust internal financial controls, authorisation matrices, and segregation of duties at plant level.
• Leverage ERP/SAP or similar systems for automation of accounting, costing, and MIS, and drive process improvements.

7. Business & cross‑functional support

• Provide financial and commercial support to Plant Head, Production, and Commercial teams on pricing, contracts, and project costing.
• Participate in special projects such as CAPEX review, plant modernisation, or new product‑line costing.

8. Team leadership & mentoring

• Lead and mentor the plant finance and accounts team (Accountants, Junior CAs, MIS/Costing staff).
• Ensure proper training, documentation, and handover so that plant finance continues smoothly even during transition.

Pay: From ₹150,000.00 per month
