GardaWorld is seeking a proactive, highly organized, and community-minded Site Operations Manager to oversee security operations at a large, high-profile healthcare site located in Downtown Toronto (M5G 1E8). This is a fully on-site role (5 days per week) supporting a dynamic environment serving vulnerable populations.
This leadership position is responsible for all aspects of security service delivery, including staffing, scheduling, team performance, training coordination, financial oversight, and overtime management. The Site Operations Manager will lead a large team of security personnel, ensuring GardaWorld’s contractual obligations are met while fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Service Delivery
- Oversee daily and long-term security operations across the site
- Ensure full coverage of all posts and shifts while proactively preventing and resolving open hours
- Maintain consistent, high-quality service delivery aligned with healthcare site safety protocols
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize shift coverage to reduce reliance on overtime
Staffing & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain comprehensive scheduling plans to meet fluctuating operational demands
- Supervise scheduling staff and ensure all shifts are filled with trained and qualified personnel
- Respond to last-minute absenteeism and operational needs with minimal disruption
Financial Oversight, Billing & Invoicing
- Conduct regular financial and billing audits in partnership with the site to ensure accuracy and alignment with contractual requirements
- Review security invoices for accuracy prior to submission to stakeholders
- Monitor and manage continental rotations and how they impact scheduling and invoicing
- Present and explain invoices, overtime, and financial breakdowns during budget and operational meetings
- Monitor overtime, staffing costs, and overall budget performance
- Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency while maintaining service quality
Training & Development
- Coordinate onboarding, refresher, and specialized training for security personnel
- Track certifications and compliance requirements to ensure all staff remain eligible for deployment
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, professionalism, and accountability
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of security professionals and supervisors
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations
- Address and resolve personnel matters in a timely and professional manner
Client & Stakeholder Relations
- Act as the primary point of contact between GardaWorld and site leadership
- Participate in regular operational and strategic meetings
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to support a safe, respectful, and healthcare-focused environment
Reporting & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, training, and inspections
- Provide regular reporting on staffing, overtime trends, and operational performance
- Ensure full compliance with company policies and applicable regulations (e.g., PSISA)
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of experience managing security teams in complex, high-demand environments (required)
- Proven experience leading large teams within structured security operations
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Experience working with or supporting vulnerable populations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence (required)
- Valid CPR/First Aid Certification (required)
- Experience managing security operations in a healthcare environment is a strong asset
