Grants Management Project Manager

Position Objective: We are seeking a dedicated Grants Management Project Manager to support the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Division of Extramural Research (DER), Grants Management Program (GMP). This role is critical in ensuring effective administration of grants that impact clinical research.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide essential support for the Grants Management Program, including NIAID system updates and efficient workload distribution to enhance grants administration effectiveness.
• Stay informed on NIH and NIAID policies, guidance, and applicable regulations that influence clinical research.
• Participate actively in meetings and provide updates as needed.
• Work collaboratively with GMP and DEA to develop, recommend, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal guidance concerning grants management and compliance.
• Assist in drafting and maintaining terms of award, managing internal online resources, and preparing clear communication for NIAID staff and stakeholders, particularly regarding human subjects and clinical trial research.
• Contribute to the preparation of responses to NIH and other agency requests for information.
• Coordinate the scheduling of internal training sessions and work with team members to ensure all presentations receive approval from GMP management in a timely manner.
• Oversee the closeout process for grants, ensuring effective communication with GMP staff, grant recipients, NIAID program divisions, and OPERA.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
