Job Overview:

The Home Loan Officer is responsible for guiding clients through the mortgage process by explaining loan options and helping them choose the most suitable financing solution based on their financial needs and goals.

This is a full-time, hybrid position with a commission-based structure located at the North Broad Street office in Philadelphia, PA. The role focuses on generating mortgage opportunities, building strong referral relationships, and assisting clients throughout the home loan journey from application to approval, ensuring a smooth path to homeownership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, and developers to generate referral business
  • Meet with clients to assess financial needs and recommend appropriate mortgage products
  • Review financial documents such as income, credit history, and assets to determine loan eligibility
  • Present loan options, explain terms clearly, and assist clients throughout the application process
  • Promote additional banking and financial products to support customer needs
  • Manage loan files, ensure proper documentation, and maintain compliance with regulations
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the mortgage process

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ year of experience in residential mortgage lending or completion of a related training program
  • Proven ability to build and maintain external referral partnerships

Compliance and Additional Duties:

  • Must comply with all company policies, regulatory requirements, and compliance programs; additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed

Licensing Requirement:

  • May require registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)
