Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Sourcing Manager to join our Store Development Sourcing team. As a key member of our global procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and leading sourcing strategies that drive innovation, mitigate risk, and deliver best-in-class performance for our retail store development initiatives. This is a remote position that offers the flexibility to work from home and collaborate with our global teams to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead global sourcing strategies for retail store development initiatives, including new product development, contingency planning, and supplier management
• Manage a portfolio of projects and suppliers, ensuring that all sourcing activities are aligned with our company's mission, values, and goals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Research & Development, Store Operations, Product, Quality Control, and Facilities, to drive the end-to-end process and deliver innovative solutions
• Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring that our sourcing activities are compliant with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and external partners to drive business growth and improve performance
• Drive value for Starbucks by reducing labor costs, waste, and carbon emissions, and by identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in sourcing, procurement, or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in sourcing or a related field. You will also need to have a bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field. In addition to your technical skills and experience, you will need to have excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in sourcing or a related field
• Intermediate knowledge of procurement processes, including category sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management, risk management, and key legal terms
• Expert knowledge of procurement processes, including RFXs, market analysis, 'should-cost' models, and standard legal protections
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on innovation, collaboration, and results

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong acumen for coping with different business situations in a professional manner, with the ability to obtain essential information, focus on key objectives, recognize options available for solving problems, and set plans in motion to achieve execution
• Ability to anticipate others' perspectives based on their role, level, and body language, with a strong ability to respond to change and influence others
• Skilled storyteller in answer-first style, with the ability to prepare clear and concise verbal, written, and visual presentations that effectively utilize storytelling techniques
• Intermediate to master level in MS Office Suite, including Excel pivot tables, managing complex formulas, and data analysis
• Knowledge of BI Apps, Oracle ERS, SAP Ariba, Power BI, Tableau, or other like systems
