Google Vertex AI & GCP Machine Learning Engineer – 6-12 Months Project

We're itscout365, a premium IT recruiting firm specializing in connecting top-tier talent with mission-critical tech roles across Austria and Germany.

We're currently seeking an

experienced Freelance Google Vertex AI Consultant to support a 6-12 month engagement.

Project Overview:

Our client is a forward-thinking organization looking to implement and optimize Google Vertex AI

pipelines for machine learning and generative AI applications. You'll work on designing, building, and deploying end-to-end ML solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

What We're Looking For

✓ 5+ years of experience with Machine Learning and AI projects

✓ Expert-level knowledge of Google Vertex AI and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

✓ Strong proficiency in Python for ML development

✓ Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar ML frameworks

✓ Hands-on experience with MLOps, model deployment, and production pipelines

✓ Understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, and RAG implementations (nice-to-have)

✓ DevOps knowledge (Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes) - beneficial

✓ Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently

✓ Based in or willing to work with Vienna/Austria timezone

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Vertex AI pipelines for ML workflows
• Develop and optimize machine learning models using TensorFlow/PyTorch
• Deploy models to production using Google Cloud infrastructure
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• Document code and provide technical guidance
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing ML systems
