What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to gain insights into each client's unique needs and challenges
- Develop personalized case conceptualizations and treatment plans for children, adolescents and parents that are focused on achievable goals and lasting change
- Build warm, authentic therapeutic relationships with families that foster trust, open communication, and self-discovery
- Utilize evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT)
- Engage in continuous learning to expand your clinical skills and stay up to date with current best practices.
Applicant Requirements and Qualifications
- You genuinely love children and adolescents, and are committed to supporting their well being and resilience.
- You love to learn and are committed to ongoing professional development
- You have at least a Master's degree
- You are autonomously registered with a professional college that permits you to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy - you do not require a clinical supervisor
- You have strong diagnostic and case conceptualization abilities
- You have training and experience with treatment of depression and anxiety within a CBT/DBT framework but you are not dependent upon manuals to guide your sessions
- You like to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a supportive team environment.
- You have good attention to detail, observational, organizational, & interpersonal communication skill
- You are comfortable with technology, Google Suite and Jane.
Expected hours: 15hrs or more per week
