Job Description

We are looking for a Sous Chef for Fort Pub & Grill who is able to:

  • Supervise and train kitchen staff
  • Controlling food and labor cost
  • Prepping and cooking dishes to ensure the high standard of food quality for customer
  • Supervise all kitchen and dishwasher staff
  • Assist executive chef in overall management and control of the kitchen
  • Ordering food product, maintaining order and rotation of food in storage
  • Ensuring maintenance of high level of hygiene in the kitchen as well as monitoring and ensuring Food Safety
  • Red Seal an asset
  • Experience developing and training cooks
  • The candidate must be able to multi-task, team player and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Knowledge of gastronomy is necessary
  • Ensure all health, safety, and food safe standards are met
  • Lead by example, work efficiently, take attention to detail

The successful candidate must be able to work evenings, weekend and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Experience

  • Culinary: 3 years (required)
  • Chef: 1 year (preferred)
  • Sous Chef: 2 years (preferred)
