Job Description
The Ford Agency is actively recruiting for a PT Accounts Payable Specialist to join a collaborative DC non-profit. This individual will support the CEO with processing invoices, expense reimbursements, and ensure compliance with non-profit accounting policies. This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 1 year of accounting experience looking to join a collaborative and supportive environment. This is a 4 month temp position, available immediately, and a great opportunity to learn!
Responsibilities Include:
- Process vendor invoices and ensure proper coding
- Process expense reimbursements
- Utilize Bill.com and QuickBooks Online to manage the invoice approvals, payments, and update records
- Assist CEO with month-end close
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting policies
- Assist with audit requests related to AP
- Assist with other accounting projects
Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1+ years of accounting experience
- Non-profit accounting experience preferred
- Experience with Bill.com, QuickBooks Online, or similar platforms
- Advanced Excel and Google Sheets proficiency
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong time management, and problem-solving skills
Compensation
- $25/hr+ DOE
Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
