Job Description

As a Senior Purchase Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the full scope of sourcing and procurement processes by providing the best conditions in terms of quality, price, delivery terms, technology, and sustainability in accordance with guidelines and all in compliance with local as well as group regulations and procedures.

  • Examine and analyze departmental purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information.
  • Utilize commercial and technical knowledge in offer evaluations.
  • Conduct effective negotiation, finalization, and cost optimization.
  • Capable of building relationships with Sales, Engineering, Expediting, and other stakeholders.
  • Support to meet the team KPI and individual KPI.

You will be part of the Service Procurement - EMEA - Region, Global Supply Chain, Cement which supports Service procurement. By joining this team, you will have the chance to work in an international environment involving different cultures and challenges. This department works closely with both internal and external customers to ensure Fuller Technologies cement spare parts are delivered on time, enhancing customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining effective purchasing strategies for reliable supply of goods, materials, supplies, and equipment at competitive prices.
  • Evaluating the purchasing environment, including supplier market conditions, pricing trends, and procurement processes.
  • Managing all steps of the procurement process, including preparing specifications, issuing requests for proposals (RFPs), conducting supplier selection, and administering contracts.
  • Negotiating with vendors to obtain the best possible price and terms, while meeting quality standards and ethical guidelines.
  • Monitoring vendor performance and providing feedback to improve supplier relationships.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate purchasing activities into overall business operations.
  • Conducting regular reviews of purchase orders, invoices, and payments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports on purchasing activities, including vendor information, transaction history, and cost analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in a purchasing role.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and industry standards.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to work effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations to optimize purchasing decisions.
