Job Summary
Our growing small animal practice is looking for a Veterinary Technician (RVT/LVT) or experienced Veterinary Assistant who wants to be part of a supportive, team-oriented clinic. This is a full-time, in-person position with opportunities for skill development and advancement into a Lead Veterinary Technician role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, and treatments
- Perform laboratory testing and patient care
- Monitor anesthesia and support surgical procedures
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans
- Help maintain efficient daily workflow and patient care standards
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused clinic culture
Qualifications
- RVT/LVT preferred, Veterinary Technician or experienced Veterinary Assistant required
- Previous experience with Avimark and Idexx preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable, team-oriented, and proactive
- Interest in growing skills and potentially stepping into a leadership role
Schedule
- Full-time: typically four 10-hour shifts per week
- 2ish Saturdays per month required (8:30 AM – 1:00 PM)
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $21 – $23 per hour
- Additional compensation for RVT
- Additional compensation for cross training
