As a Manager - Legal and Compliance for the US operations, your role involves overseeing regulatory compliance, providing legal guidance, and managing policy governance to ensure adherence to US laws and regulations. Your responsibilities include: - Stay updated with applicable US federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and industry standards - Conduct periodic compliance reviews and risk assessments - Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs, manuals, and training initiatives - Manage regulatory filings, vendor registrations, and company compliance requirements - Liaise with regulatory authorities, handle audits, inquiries, and inspections - Oversee insurance-related compliance and documentation - Provide legal guidance to internal stakeholders on US-related matters - Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents - Manage agreements for clients, contractors, and service providers - Conduct legal research and risk analysis to support business decisions - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and update internal policies - Ensure effective communication and implementation of policies across the organization - Monitor compliance with policies and recommend improvements - Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to mitigate legal and compliance risks - Ensure compliance with US regulations related to shipping, imports/exports, and logistics - Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to maintain compliance standards - Ensure compliance with US labor and employment laws - Draft and review employee agreements and HR policies - Oversee payroll compliance, employee benefits, and insurance - Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and termination processes - Support HR in managing legal risks related to employee relations Key Skills & Qualifications: - Strong understanding of US legal and compliance frameworks - Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills - Strong analytical and research abilities - High attention to detail and risk assessment capability - Effective communication and stakeholder management skills - Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment - Willingness to work in US time zones As a Manager - Legal and Compliance for the US operations, your role involves overseeing regulatory compliance, providing legal guidance, and managing policy governance to ensure adherence to US laws and regulations.
