Payroll Executive

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site United Arab Emirates Payroll Executive role based in Mumbai. The Payroll Executive will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, including collecting, verifying, and entering employee attendance, salary, and benefits data into payroll systems. The role includes calculating wages, overtime, incentives, and deductions in compliance with local labor laws and company policies. The Payroll Executive will prepare and review payroll reports, payslips, and reconciliations, and coordinate with HR and Finance on employee onboarding, exits, and compensation changes. Day-to-day tasks also involve handling employee payroll queries, maintaining accurate payroll records, supporting audits, and assisting with statutory filings and payments. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll cycles.

Qualifications

• Strong payroll administration skills, including end-to-end processing, reconciliation, and familiarity with payroll software or HRIS tools.
• Good knowledge of UAE labor laws, statutory compliance, gratuity calculations, and other local payroll regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
• Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills to manage timelines and large data sets.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with employees, HR, Finance, and external stakeholders.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain high standards of integrity and professionalism.
• Previous experience in payroll, accounts, or HR operations, preferably in a financial services or fintech environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in, HR, or a related field; professional payroll or HR certifications are an advantage.
