Role Description The Research-cum-Teaching Assistant is a remote, volunteer role supporting the design and delivery of educational content for learners, especially from underserved communities. In this role, the assistant will conduct research on curriculum topics, educational best practices, and relevant digital learning tools. They will help prepare lesson plans, problem sets, and learning materials, with a particular focus on mathematics and foundational subjects. The assistant will support virtual teaching sessions, clarify student doubts, and provide one-on-one or small-group guidance where needed. They will also contribute to monitoring learner progress, gathering feedback, and recommending improvements to teaching methods and resources.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Education and Mathematics, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and accessibly.
• Experience or interest in Assistant Teaching and Working With Children, including patience and a learner-centered approach.
• Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for online instruction and collaboration.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and meet agreed timelines.
• Prior experience in tutoring, teaching assistance, or educational volunteering is beneficial.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms, basic digital tools, and collaborative software (e.g., video conferencing, shared documents) is an advantage.
• Commitment to educational equity and interest in serving students from diverse and underserved backgrounds.
