Job Description

As a Senior Business Analyst, your role involves data analysis and mapping, system configuration, implementation, consultative training, and support of software applications for new and existing clients. You are expected to follow project standards to ensure projects are completed within established timeframes and defined quality levels. Your work will be client-facing and may require travel to client sites as needed. The tasks you will handle are typically moderately complex.

Your key responsibilities and deliverables as a Senior Business Analyst include, but are not limited to:

  • Implementing the integration of Finastra's Payments solution into the Global Payplus (GPP) platform to enhance payment processing capabilities.
  • Interacting with clients to determine project requirements and conduct needs analysis.
  • Configuring system parameters and controls based on clients' business practices and processes, recommending best practices, reviewing setup with clients, and ensuring client acceptance.
  • Conducting data analysis and mapping activities for assigned applications, analyzing source data files, and mapping data to target applications for technical resources to develop programs.
  • Providing on-site or remote support during client conversions.
  • Testing and troubleshooting system configuration and functionality, validating new system input, output, and connectivity, and assisting in resolving any technical issues.
  • Facilitating converted database validation work sessions with clients, assessing and reporting risks during projects, and participating in the development and implementation of mitigation plans.
  • Communicating project scope, status, and risks to all stakeholders and recording accurate time spent on project-related activities.
  • Following established project, departmental, and company procedures and quality standards, as well as project management standards.
  • Managing assigned implementation projects to ensure timely completion and transition of clients.
  • Completing post-implementation tasks promptly, updating internal documentation, and providing subject matter expertise to internal staff.
  • Participating in the development of implementation or training content, conducting software training for external clients and internal staff, and staying updated on software applications and industry practices.

Required Experience:

  • Experience with Finastra products like GPP (Global PAYplus).
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a relevant area, preferably in a financial institution or industry software company.
  • Client-facing service experience is essential.
  • Strongly preferred experience in software implementation, support, or training.
  • Experience with project management disciplines is a plus.
