About the FGS Associate Program
FGS Global is seeking a full-time Associate to join our Strategic Communications' Financial Services Policy team. Working at the intersection of business, finance, public policy, and media, the Associate position is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in communications, public relations, press engagement, and crisis management to develop research, writing, and media skills at a prestigious firm with high-profile clients.
Graduating seniors and early-career professionals who are interested in media, communications, and finance are encouraged to apply for a position in our Associate Program. Associates will begin a two-year onboarding program. Assuming good performance, Associates will move to a Senior Associate role after two years in the role. The Associate position is hybrid with an expectation of at least three days per week in our office.
Responsibilities
- Show up to work with an eagerness and desire to learn.
- Monitor and/or compile daily press clips for a diverse roster of financial services industry client accounts and/or sub-projects with focus on financial services policy.
- Assist client teams in prep for meetings/pitches.
- Basic writing and research tasks (including emails, meeting agendas, messaging documents, press materials, client documents, owned media content, etc.).
- Build and maintain press lists.
- Prepare briefing documents, talking points, etc.
- Develop pitches and engage in media outreach across print, online and broadcast media.
- Provide administrative support to 1-2 Partners as well as client teams, including managing calendars and scheduling, preparing and submitting expense reports, booking travel, and filtering internal and external requests.
- Grow sophisticated project-management skills.
- Write and edit work with a superior understanding of correct grammar and punctuation.
- Contribute to firm's new business process and efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Strong interest in or prior experience in strategic communications, with specific familiarity/experience in financial services policy issues.
