Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in Ranchi. The Video Editor will work closely with the creative and production teams to edit raw footage into polished, cinematic videos for social media, ads, documentaries, and brand films. Daily responsibilities include organizing and selecting footage, assembling rough and final cuts, applying transitions, effects, and sound design, and optimizing edits for high retention and platform-specific formats. The role also involves basic to advanced color correction and grading, integrating motion graphics and titles, and ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and storytelling objectives. The Video Editor will collaborate in pre-production planning, provide input on visual style and pacing, and support fast turnarounds while maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, including assembling narratives from raw footage and managing timelines.
• Proficiency in Video Color Grading, with the ability to match looks, enhance visuals, and maintain a consistent visual tone.
• Experience with Motion Graphics and Graphics to create engaging titles, lower thirds, and on-screen elements.
• Hands-on experience with professional editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro,DaVinci Resolve) and motion design tools (e.g., After Effects).
• Ability to edit for social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube, shorts/reels) with a strong understanding of pacing, hooks, and audience retention.
• Solid sense of storytelling, rhythm, and sound design, with attention to detail and visual aesthetics.
• Ability to work on-site in Ranchi, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Film, Media, Animation, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in a production house or agency is an advantage.
