Job Description

As a Senior Data Analyst, Sales Analytics at Fastly, you will play a crucial role in the Sales Strategy & Operations team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Sales Strategy & Operations, you will be responsible for shaping the future roadmap for sales data architecture, visualization, analysis, and reporting. Your main focus will be on customer data, sales metrics, QBRs, and sales go-to-market planning across various reporting platforms such as Looker, Salesforce, and Clari. Your ability to deliver key insights that drive decision-making will be vital for the success of the sales organization.

**Role Overview:**

  • Take a proactive and consultative approach to solving business problems with non-technical partners
  • Distill complex ideas and data into logical insights and recommendations
  • Work independently, prioritize tasks, and take an iterative approach to completing projects
  • Curious and take initiative to learn new areas of the business to be effective in your role

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage intake and development of sales insights and analytics requests, as well as automate regular reports
  • Maintain and optimize data infrastructure, including databases, data warehouses, and ETL processes
  • Develop processes and frameworks for repeatable common analysis requests
  • Audit data outputs regularly for anomalies and reporting errors
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure data quality standards are upheld and evaluate new sales data sources and tooling
  • Track, report, analyze, and compile performance of key sales metrics to support ongoing business needs and QBRs
  • Write, optimize, and execute SQL queries to extract and manipulate sales data for analysis and reporting
  • Understand data requirements from cross-functional teams and develop customized queries to support sales and business initiatives

**Qualifications Required:**

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales operations or sales data analytics role
  • Working knowledge of sales go-to-market and planning
  • Technical experience in B2B sales analytics with hands-on experience in tools like Salesforce, Clari, Google BigQuery, Looker, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, or similar
  • Experience with dbt, git, building data models, and automating workflows
  • Strong communication skills to distill complex data into actionable insights for different audience types
  • Bachelor's degree
