Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Private Dining & Events Manager to join our team at STK Steakhouse Fallsview, located on the 9th floor of the Hyatt Regency Niagara Falls Fallsview. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing a variety of events that enhance our guests' experiences. Your contributions will be pivotal in ensuring that each event reflects our high standards of service and hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive Event Planning and Coordination with all relevant departments
  • Budget management: allocating and tracking expenses to ensure events stay within their target budgets
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and Fallsview Group marketing team to align local efforts with the overall brand strategy
  • Plan and execute local marketing initiatives, including promotions, events and partnerships
  • Oversee email marketing campaigns, and other direct marketing efforts
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, such as foot traffic, sales, and digital engagement to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
  • Daily reporting, email database management and digital image asset organization
  • Manages the creation and execution of promotions using various platforms
  • Manages and updates content on company websites, and third-party sites
  • Works collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors
  • Manage, lead and mentor staff: provide daily training & development to FOH staff
  • Ensure service is maintained at the utmost of quality levels and maintains all corporate mandates
  • Be present on the floor during service, touching tables and making guest connections and building business
  • Leads with positivity and by example. No consumption of alcoholic beverages while working
  • Responsible for Team performance – morale, productivity, energy and facilitates regular review of performance for staff
  • Developing risk management and mitigation strategies
  • Analyze staffing requirements, develop iteration plans, assess opportunities for future growth, interviews, screens, and recruits job applicants
  • Monitors activities and expenses, and informs General Manager of sales and key issues
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to establish specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish project/department goals
  • Participate in special projects, and team training and development
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Event Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry
  • Previous Restaurant experience is an asset
  • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during stressful and/or busy times
  • Commitment to service excellence and to succeed in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, including ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate
  • Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for team to fulfill responsibilities
  • Preferred: Post-secondary education with a degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, or other relevant field of study
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and compelling copy that reflects brand voice
  • Experience following brand standards and/or guidelines
  • Exceptional grammatical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills (all levels of management and external customers)
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook with the ability to quickly learn new programs when required

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
