Role Overview:
You will be responsible for product development by conducting market research, creating mood boards, and coordinating with designers. You will also be involved in analyzing market trends, maintaining the style catalogue, and preparing for range presentations. Additionally, you will coordinate photo-shoots and promotions, manage pricing, order placement, and vendor management. Your role will also include visiting stores to identify new market trends and fulfilling gaps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and surveys to specify requirements for target markets
- Create mood boards and themes for the season
- Review original content and coordinate with designers for sample design finalization
- Place orders to Supply Chain/ DP Vendor for sample development/ final range
- Share creative briefs with Supply Chain for range development
- Interact with PHs on detailed requirements and explain briefs
- Create sample cost aligning with GP targets
- Archive all Designer/comp samples for future reference
- Maintain sampling tracker with supplier details and sample status
- Study new designs & trends, maintain market information and awareness
- Evolve the catalogue and maintain style-wise catalogue
- Archive all Designs/samples for future reference
- Maintain research data bank
- Coordinate with B&M department for market promotions and VM material
- Ensure availability of products for photo-shoots
- Define and close final cost post-product selection as per GP target
- Place orders on Fabconnect as per buying budget and timeline
- Provide pre-production sample approval to vendor
- Launch complete range on web store simultaneously with promotions
- Archive all Best Seller Samples
- Maintain Range Room sample and Range Book
- Identify new business opportunities with vendors and transfer leads to SCM
- Participate in DP vendor management along with SCM
- Visit stores and competition regularly to identify new market trends
- Follow up with adopted stores to identify & fulfill the gaps
Qualification Required:
- 3-5 years of experience in Merchandising, Sampling, and Product Development
- Knowledge of Fabindia products
- Experience in Sampling (Sourcing & Vendor Management), Merchandising, Costing, MIS
