We are representing a well-established and growing public accounting firm seeking a Staff Accountant / Auditor to join their team in Manassas, VA.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated accounting professional who enjoys a mix of tax, accounting, and client-facing responsibilities within a collaborative CPA firm environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and corporate tax returns
• Assist with general accounting and bookkeeping services
• Support audit and assurance engagements as needed
• Work directly with clients and respond to accounting inquiries
• Maintain accurate financial records and reports
• Collaborate with senior accountants and partners on engagements

Requirements

• 1–3 years of accounting experience (public accounting preferred)
• Experience in both tax preparation and accounting services
• CPA or CPA-track candidates strongly encouraged
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks required
• Experience with Lacerte tax software is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently
