Job Description

We are seeking dynamic and engaging Group Facilitators to lead structured group programming within our Occupational Skills and Support (OSS) program for injured workers. The ideal candidate will foster a supportive, professional, and psychologically safe environment while guiding participants through evidence-based content focused on emotional wellness, coping skills, and return-to-work readiness.

This role offers an opportunity to develop leadership and facilitation skills while making a meaningful impact on individuals recovering from injury and working toward reintegration into daily life and employment. This is a paid position suited for individuals passionate about mental health, community engagement, and personal development

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate structured virtual group sessions with professionalism, engagement, and adherence to program guidelines
  • Deliver psychoeducational content related to emotional regulation, stress management, coping skills, and return-to-work readiness
  • Support participants in building practical skills for recovery, resilience, and workplace reintegration
  • Monitor group dynamics and ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants
  • Identify and respond to participant needs, escalating clinical concerns to supervising clinicians when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including attendance, participation, and progress notes
  • Support intake-related processes through participant engagement and basic screening where applicable
  • Reinforce program content through coaching-style interactions and skill application
  • Collaborate with clinical team members (e.g., RCCs, OTs) to ensure continuity of care and program effectiveness
  • Ensure adherence to program structure, timelines, and WorkSafeBC expectations

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, rehabilitation, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience facilitating structured group programs focused on emotional wellness, coping skills, or work readiness
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals facing recovery-related or return-to-work challenges
  • Strong group facilitation and engagement skills, with the ability to manage diverse personalities and group dynamics
  • Ability to communicate concepts clearly and in an accessible, practical manner
  • Experience supporting training, coaching, or skill development in group settings
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational and documentation abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a WorkSafe setting
  • Adaptability and comfort working in virtual (telehealth) environments
  • Passion for mental health, recovery, and helping individuals return to meaningful daily functioning and work

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
