Job Description
What Is Exoticca?
Exoticca is a pioneering online travel agency that has revolutionized the conception, production, and ecommerce of longdistance dream trips. At the core of Exoticca's brand equity is the commitment to "creating life milestones." We believe in delivering bestvalue trips, exploring unique destinations, curating extraordinary travel experiences, and demonstrating genuine care for both our customers and the planet.
We are a professional, dynamic, multicultural team in rapid international growth, seeking new partners to help us create the best and most forward-thinking travel company of our generation.
What about the team?
As a key player within the Performance Marketing team, the SEM Specialist will drive profitable growth across all Exoticca geographies by owning and evolving high-impact, data-driven search marketing programs. You’ll bring deep technical and strategic expertise to lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of SEM initiatives across Google and Microsoft Ads. You will be asked to own the day-to-day operations of the channel, coordinating the work of a team member with an operational background, in constant alignment and collaboration with the Manager of the area.
This role is ideal for a strong SEM professional with a solid ownership mindset, expert knowledge of automation and bidding strategies, and a passion for testing and optimization. You will be a key stakeholder in cross-functional collaboration with Data, Product, and Sales to develop scalable solutions that improve CAC, LTV, and overall marketing efficiency.
Which will be your main responsibilities:
- Own execution and large-scale management of multi-country SEM campaigns across Google and Microsoft Ads, ensuring performance aligns with ambitious acquisition and ROI targets.
- Report and present results to internal stakeholders, explaining performance and trends while proposing actions to be taken
- Implement and optimize AI-driven bidding strategies and feed-based automation to scale campaigns efficiently.
- Collaborate Martech area and Data teams to design and import custom conversion values, offline events, and predictive signals that fuel smarter bid strategies.
- Drive automation across campaign creation, reporting, and performance monitoring using scripts, SA360, or other platforms.
- Proactively identify testing opportunities (audiences, creatives, bid strategies, campaign types), design A/B tests, and operationalize learnings.
- Work closely with internal creative teams to continuously improve ad assets — copy, extensions, imagery, and video — based on performance data.
- Put in place quarterly planning for SEM growth levers and define the roadmap to hit key business targets.
- Partner with Google and other platform reps to stay ahead of new AI-driven features and alpha/beta programs.
- Ensure alignment of SEM efforts with wider cross-functional projects: landing pages UX, feed optimization, CRM audience signals.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on SEM experience managing large-scale campaigns (6–7 figure budgets annually) across international markets.
- Proven expertise in Google and Microsoft Ads platforms, including formats like Performance Max, broad match with smart bidding, and custom audience targeting.
- Experience in other Performance Channels (Social Ads, Display) is also desirable and treated as a plus
- Automation mindset and hands-on experience using automation tech tools (e.g. scripts, SA360, Google Ads API) and integrating offline conversion data to improve performance.
- Understanding of performance measurement and experimentation, with the ability to define, run, and interpret tests.
- Experience working with analytics and visualization tools (Google Analytics, Looker, Tableau, etc.) and intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills.
- Data driven and analytically minded: comfortable exploring datasets, identifying trends, and translating insights into actions.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in the travel industry is a plus, but not essential.
- Proactive, execution-oriented, and curious about emerging technologies in marketing (AI, automation, predictive modeling).
Benefits
- Competitive compensation package in line with job responsibilities and experience.
- Additionally, we propose the use of flexible compensation management for diet, transportation, and private health insurance with Cobee.
- On-site work model: Offices in Barcelona city.
- Permanent contract from the start.
- Travel packages at reduced prices!
- Referral bonus, if you bring people as talented as you.
- Unlimited coffee, team lunches, English lesson, bi-anual company parties.
- And last but not least, becoming part of a fun and motivated multicultural team at an agile and rapidly growing organization!.
Join Exoticca and play a pivotal role in creating life milestones through unforgettable travel experiences! This is your opportunity to shape the future of a dynamic and innovative travel brand on a global scale.
