Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Energy Efficiency Engineer, based in Reisterstown, MD, with some opportunities for work-from-home flexibility. The Energy Efficiency Engineer will be responsible for conducting energy audits, designing and implementing energy-saving measures, and performing data analysis to enhance energy performance. This role involves creating energy models, preparing technical reports, consulting with clients, and ensuring compliance with relevant energy efficiency standards and regulations. Additionally, the engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that promote sustainable energy practices.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in energy auditing, energy modeling, and performing energy savings calculations
  • Experience with technical report preparation, data analysis, and presenting detailed findings
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency standards, HVAC systems, and renewable energy solutions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to create innovative strategies for sustainable energy upgrades
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client consultations and cross-functional collaboration
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Familiarity with energy simulation tools (e.g., eQUEST, EnergyPlus) and certifications such as CEM (Certified Energy Manager) or LEED accreditation are a plus
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively
