Job Description
Job Summary:-
The Resident Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing site execution activities for
power projects including substations, transmission lines, switchyards, 400/220 KV GIS/AIS
systems, and related electrical infrastructure. The role involves managing construction
activities, contractor coordination, safety compliance, quality control, project scheduling, and
ensuring timely project completion as per technical specifications and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:-
Supervise day-to-day construction activities at project site
Monitor execution of EHV/HV substation, transmission line, GIS/AIS, and electrical
works
Ensure project execution as per approved drawings, specifications, and safety
standards
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams
Track project progress, manpower, materials, and equipment availability
Conduct site inspections and ensure quality compliance
Manage project schedules and resolve site-related issues
Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) guidelines
Review contractor bills, DPRs, progress reports, and work measurements
Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities
Attend site meetings and prepare project status updates
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications:-
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
8–10 years of experience in power/EPC/construction projects
Experience in Transmission Lines, Substations, GIS/AIS, or Renewable Power
Projects preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction management /Project Management and site
execution.
Familiarity with safety standards and electrical regulations
