Role Overview:
Join Ericsson's AI Innovation & Incubation Team (AIII) as a Senior Data Scientist or Senior Machine Learning Engineer to work on building foundation models for Telco in the next generation of wireless networks. You will have the opportunity to design and optimize telecom foundation models and domain-adaptation pipelines for various tasks related to network optimization, predictive maintenance, and radio sensing using AI and ML technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build telecom foundation models and domain-adaptation pipelines for tasks such as channel modelling, resource allocation, network optimization, predictive maintenance, and radio sensing.
- Design and maintain scalable, efficient data pipelines and AI/ML workflows for large-scale datasets.
- Integrate state-of-the-art AI research techniques into project workflows to drive continuous innovation.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate complex use cases into operational AI solutions.
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML solution development with a focus on foundation models.
- Proficient in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow; experience with libraries like Hugging Face Transformers.
- Solid knowledge of machine learning and deep learning techniques, including large/foundation models, transfer learning, self-supervised learning, and generative models.
- Experience with unstructured data, building/fine-tuning foundation models is a significant plus.
- Demonstrated ability to implement new algorithms and methodologies from leading research papers, assessing their scalability and viability for industrialization.
- Demonstrated ability to deploy models at scale with considerations for latency, throughput, and resource constraints.
- Solid problem-solving skills and capability to work autonomously on complex technical challenges.
