Summary

As the Western Canada Fleet Manager, you will lead operational performance, drive profitability, and support business growth across the fleet. This role combines leadership, analytics, and customer-focused strategy to ensure efficient and high-performing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and manage a team, including performance management, scheduling, hiring, and employee development
• Own and manage a Profit & Loss (P&L), with monthly reporting to the Sr. Director of International Operations
• Mentor Lead Planners daily to optimize key metrics such as miles per truck, miles per driver, revenue per mile (RPM), and empty miles
• Ensure planning strategies are executed with a 24–48 hour forward-looking approach
• Collaborate with Managers and Directors to support cross-functional alignment and corporate objectives
• Analyze operational data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
• Partner with Customer Service to ensure tenders align with volume expectations and are priced appropriately
• Work closely with the Solutions team to ensure freight movement meets customer service expectations
• Generate on-time performance reports as needed
• Support account growth (“farming”) by working with Directors and clients
• Identify and support new business opportunities (“hunting”) alongside Sales, Operations, and Revenue teams
• Leverage all available resources to meet client needs and maintain service excellence
• Communicate customer service issues proactively with the Manager of Customer Service
• Perform other duties as assigned

Who Are We Looking For?

Qualifications & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 5 years of experience in trucking, transportation, or sales (preferred)

• Proven ability to analyze data and make sound operational decisions
