Epirus' flagship product, Leonidas, is a software-defined system built using intelligent power management techniques which allow power-hungry systems to do more with less.   Job Summary: This is an exciting role in an innovative company. The ideal candidate for the Senior Systems Engineer position is someone who has experience with full lifecycle system development. In this role, you will work closely with a talented engineering team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Systems Engineering and part of Systems team. This role is a multidisciplinary role, with significant breadth (interacting with all engineering disciplines) and depth (from customer needs to unit-level specifications). You will focus on typical Systems Engineering responsibilities, such as requirements definition & management (at system, subsystem, and component levels), system architecture, system analysis, change management, interface definition, etc. Additionally, this role is a key stakeholder in integration, verification, and validation (IV&V) planning and execution to ensure products meet requirements.  As much as possible, a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach is employed to make Systems Engineering processes more thorough and efficient.    Responsibilities:  <ul> <li>Contribute to system requirements definition and management for a product  </li> <li>Ensure Key Performance Parameters, as derived through mission modeling and operational analysis, are properly flowed to system requirements  </li> <li>Act as an interface with either existing or prospective customers to prove that customer requirements/needs are fully satisfied by system requirements  </li> <li>Coordinate key requirements with subsystem design teams, ensuring requirement flow-down to hardware and software subsystems is captured and properly traced  </li> <li>Collaborate with design engineering to ensure system architecture is properly captured in MBSE diagrams (to include Structural and Behavioral Diagrams)  </li> <li>Work with business development to create architectures for new solutions and applications in proposals  </li> <li>Maintain architectural definition throughout the development process to ensure team alignment  </li> <li>Develop interface control documentation and own interface management between hardware/software/firmware subsystems  </li> <li>Perform trade studies and quick-turn impact analyses to facilitate agile hardware/software/firmware development  </li> <li>Perform analysis to prove that system requirements are addressed by the system design  </li> <li>Ensure best practices for configuration management are adhered to  </li> <li>Facilitate multi-disciplinary coordination across teams  </li> <li>Participate in IV&V planning and preparation  </li> <li>Contribute technical writing and figures to proposals and other business development efforts  </li> </ul>   Basic Qualifications:  <ul> <li>BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace, or a similar field  </li> <li>Minimum 5 years industry experience (or minimum 3 years of experience with an MS degree), preferably with experience spanning the entire product lifecycle (Concept to Delivery)  </li> <li>Demonstrated experience contributing to the establishment of a technical baseline of a system/product </li> <li>Experience working with Systems Engineering tools for Requirements Management and Product Lifecycle Management (e.g. JAMA, Polarion, DOORS)  </li> <li>Experience working with MBSE (e.g. SparxEA, Capella)  </li> <li>Experience with Python development or other similar object-oriented languages   </li> <li>Experience working with Git/GitHub, or similar version control systems   </li> <li>Ability to identify gaps, prioritize in the context of the project/program, and lead an effort involving multiple engineers from other teams to resolve issues  </li> </ul> Preferred Skills and Experience:  <ul> <li>Experience working with RF systems (e.g. radar, comms, EW, etc.), preferably including phased arrays  </li> <li>Experience working in System Safety and Reliability Engineering  </li> <li>Good written and oral communication skills; not afraid to speak up, either to ask for help or disagree on a technical point that warrants more discussion  </li> <li>Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization  </li> <li>Ability to anticipate and communicate blockers, delays, and cost ballooning within the project before they require escalation  </li> <li>Organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment  </li> <li>Focused, with perspective on what matters most, rapidly delivering customer value  </li> </ul>   ITAR REQUIREMENTS:   To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.  <div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description">As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, Epirus provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. </div><div class="title">For the state of California only, the range of starting pay for this role is: </div><div class="pay-range">$129,700—$158,400 USD</div></div></div>
